The Guild of Fabulists are Dave Oliver Clive Pig and Paul Whittall and they have performing their brand of gritty storytelling for many years. Dave and Clive are prominent members of the storytelling scene and Paul has been active as a musician performer in this genre for yonks. They have performed at festivals and fairs, soirees and gathering and their tales are not for the faint hearted. Specialising in epic tales such as the Tain or Cattle Raid of Cooley the lads have a unique gift in bringing the stories to life and their various guises. Also using music as a welcome addition including the fabulous, thouigh grim 'Hobyers' revealing the tale of some very unsavoury characters who come to a very stick end. Also a brand new cd has just been released of an hour long version of the Tain, so check out the listening page and the shop for details of how to make a grand, but grisly purchase.
