POGLES’ LULLABY
Don’t stray from my arms you little hound
Everybody’s gathered round, bow wow wow, hound
I loked at you hard out the corner of my eye
I could see you’re a sweet little fellow, oh!
Oh Mrs.Pogle come to my arms and sleep beside me
I will keep you warmer than you’ve been before
Have a little snore on the door
Don’t wake the pussy on the floor
Go round and round the garden
Round and round the garden
One, two, three, Mrs.Pogle and me
I saw a hound, oh close your eyes my hound
Ruff, ruff, ruff.

OUT YOU GO MY LAD
Oh there’s a knee, it’s prodding in my back.
I’m sure I hear the song get out, get out, get out of the bed you’re in the way.
And go out, go out, it’ll be easier for you
I’d like some tea
Go in the garden it’s the snow
Out you go my lad you’ll go
Don’t moan, don’t groan, don’t whine it’s fine
Take the doggy and go
Out of the house in the snow
Snow on the ground
Snow snow snow on the ground
Snow snow snow snow snow on the hound
And don’t you look so sad my lad, it’s out to the park we’ll go
Cos when that knee goes into thee
My fear of slack won’t hold me back
Put the pony on, put the porridge on
Put the porridge on
And even a scone.

CROWN OF MAY
Spring comes into summertime
And with it comes the day
Amongst the brambles, blooms the hawthorn flower
And with the blossom comes the hour
Breaks the daylight, shining through the trees
Softly flickering like whispers on my hands
And when July comes calling, Summertime
Bringing garlands and with a kiss
The wedding band
Lest I forget to shout up to the branches
The canopy of trees shall sound the day
And with all my heart I’ll sing, sing the morning chorus
Till darkness steals my breath away
And I shall call for her, Beginning
Smiling with the morning
And gracefully go towards the arch
And with a leap
Through fires of well established ages
We shall fly

RESPOND TO ME
“Come on, gather round you lambs, all of you
oh! Look my lambs, there’s a little bit of kindness
dripping from fingers, little bitty lingers
don’t be sad if it doesn’t understand, or respond
little bitsa clever thing sing.”
Chorus
Respond to me, respond to me, the blighter won’t respond to me
Respond to me, respond to me, the blighter won’t respond.
Early birdies, seven in the morning, go and get a barker, ruff ruff ruff!
Out in the garden, pick a bit’a steamy, bright-eyed barker, clever thing sing.
Chorus
Spinning, dipping heart is racing, bonzos, pussies, sunny sunny places
It’s the pleased to see you tail, teasing the fishes and the whoopsies
Soggy little pussy in the pond and in disgrace
Chorus
So let’s ramble, gamble in the garden, sugar magnolia, croci kiss.
Spring’s abundant, tease her with a little bit’a sausage and cheesy, let’s have a stick
Chorus
Laughing little clever thing, full to bursting, chomping at the children, peering through the railings,
Big googly eyes, so optimistic, watering the lettuces, picking up tricks.
Chorus
THERE’S A FRIEND
“Strange things happen on the Kelpie rock. EYEEYEEYE EYEYEEYE……………
I wouldn’t go there for anything
There’s a friend, you are.
So dear to me today.
Oh! Let’s go down to the bridges.
And watch the birds, and let’s talk of many things,
That do concern us now.
Oh I have made mistakes and told you things I shouldn’t.
But you are my friend.
I know I’ll be forgiven.
Let’s go and save the world together.
Let’s go and make new life.
Together we’ll go home.
The way it is forever.
There’s a dump over there, look there’s an old chair.
Ain’t it safer to say, SING
‘RUFTY TUFTY’
Together in that way it’s such a feeling.
Go to the meeting and sing.
A sausage here, a sausage there.
Well there’s a rumpus going on,
In the house we’ve had an intruder.
In the house he was so feared, and he
Frightened Alison, ducked down
Ran up the street like a hound,
No he never turned round.
Tommy Gander he’s a scream,
Turn him loose in a sea of green
“I remember, Old Mrs. Barnsley from Bradford,
Very nice person, very nice,
Told me, in confidence mind,
Dog’d died.
Very unfortunate
Very nice person
Very nice DOG!”
Oh! I’ve seen punch and judy men in the town.
I’ve seen them frown, just look at the children,
They don’t want anyone else but him.
It’s the punch and judy man
Catch him if you can in his multi coloured van.
“I followed him round the corner and he did the most awful thing
Behind a bush, behind that bush
I name thee SATAN.”
There’s a friend. There’s a friend.
There’s a friend to guide you, and take your hand
All the billowing winds they push you to each other.
Fall to the ground. Like you don’t make a sound.
We’ll go home
Back to the open fire of our hearts home.
There’s a friend.
MIDNIGHT MOON AND STARS
It’s a lovely evening, we’re going to bed and there’s a
Scratching sound from underneath the blanket.
Two big green eyes, pleading with us to not,
Go to bed just yetm there’ll be surprises
And suddenly there’s a kitty
Welcome to the world
We’re so glad to have you here at our table
And suddenly there’s a kitty
Midnight, moon and stars are here
They’re here right now
And out in the garden
Someone’s waiting for some information.
What’s going on? What’s going on? Tonight
And suddenly there’s a kitty
Welcome to the world
We’re so glad to have you here at our table
Three little bundles, look at the smiling faces with their
Eyes shine, eyes are shining
And suddenly there’s a kitty
In our hearts and in our lifetime
And it’s Midnight in our hearts and in our homes
And we’re so glad it’s Midnight in our hearts and in our homes
And they’re furry little miracles, furry little miracles
Running around on the ground.
And they’re furry little miracles, furry little miracles
Running around on the ground.
Running around with the hound.
PARCUMPERICUM
As I walked out on a fine spring day
I spied you as you sat on the branch of a tree
You were pretending to be a bird
Cos you’d been eating parcumpericumparcumpircum
Oh your dad used to relish this famous thing parcumpericumparcumpircum
I said “can I come up to your tree and play on the branch with you
Cos you look nice, nice enough to be with
On a lovely sunny day, sunny day today
And you offered me parcumpericumparcumpircum
And I said “no” I’m not fond of it, because it’s full of lots of funny fishy things in it
And it’s a bit too strong, and you said
“oh! Oh that’s a shame because
me and me lad used to sit on the tree eating
parcumpericumparcumpircum
No danger of falling onto the spiky railings below
No danger of falling onto the slightly pointed railing below
and anyway I’ve been eating parcumpericumparcumpircum
So I said a fine thing, “Can I sing with you?”
“Yes” she said, sing parcumpericumparcumpircum.”
So we went in and we had a cuppa tea and we sat in front of the fire
And we got very cosy and we had a bit of a kiss
She’s my miss. We’re still there today
She’s eating parcumpericum , parcumpericum , parcumpericum , parcumpericum ,
parcumpericum , parcum, pircum
parcumpericum , parcumpericum , pa.
HOLD THE MORNING
Hold the morning, I just can’t wait to stop
Feel the sunshine hours; hold the morning just for me.
Just a taste of spring, just a taste of you
I don’t need another winter; I’ve got my simple things to do.
Chorus
When I saw signs that you’d been here
Cos I’ve been skipping down the years
I’ve been crawling through the mire,
Blind, but I’m still alive
Hold the morning just for me.
Squeeze the sunshine out; oh wait until the cadence falters
Promise me that you won’t alter, promise me you’ll be my wife.
I’d like the right to roam, like the right to a home,
And fill the place with flowers, oh pretty flowers,
And smile beneath the showers.
Chorus
When I saw signs that you’d been here
Cos I’ve been skipping down the years
I’ve been crawling through the mire,
Blind, but I’m still alive
Hold the morning just for me.
Just a taste of summer, just a taste, a taste of you,
Springtime used to be my sister; I never felt the way I held the cue.
Let it roll from my eyes, let it roll from my eyes
Feel the sunshine hours; hold the morning just for me.
Hold the morning, I’m not ready for it all,
Let it slide from my sight; hold the morning just for me.
FURRY LITTLE CREATURE OVER THERE
There’s a sleepy little creature, sleepy little creature over there
She won’t bite me I’m not frightened, sleepy little creature over there.
There’s a furry little creature, furry little creature over there
She won’t bite me I’m not frightened, furry little creature over there.
Out in the garden running round my legs,
They’ve got tiny claws buried in the hedge.
Up the tree they go those dear little creatures,
Furry little creatures in the sunshine near me.
There’s a furry little creature, furry little creature over there
Don’t you bite me I’m not frightened, furry little creature over there
There’s a furry little creature, furry little creature over there
Don’t you bite me I’m not frightened, furry little creature over there
furry little creature over there.
furry little creature over there.
FLOW
Start, again
Pray for those who wonder, how
Standing all your life
Your questions answered here.
Start, now
Build bridges for the space inside your head
A critical moment
Drive towards the light and see
Your destiny’s
Here
Chorus
For now it’s over
Let’s drive towards the city
Rride around on our eiderdown
Speak to me
Speak to us now
The wider the bridge
The smaller the show
Tonight
Stand, now
The island’s further than I thought
And now I’m sinking
I’m sinking down
And we’ve tried our best
Take our time cos it leaves us
Drifting, floating down
The tide comes in and washes us
Our lives flow together
Let’s go dancing
Chorus
Takes time to flow through
The wave is over
Watch the ripples
Seek the sparkles
All around Wave
